[[bc10]] -Contents #CONTENTS * Overview [#i1d6c351] > bc10 is an Open Source Gadget, which is equipped with Texas Instruments, Inc's OMAP 3530. As bc10 is a clone of~ BeagleBoard, it is capable of running the Android 2.2_1.1 (Froyo) and Angstrom (OpenEmbedded Linux) and other~ Linux OSes. A 6-axis motion sensor and a 20ch GPS receiver are installed on Main Board of bc10, and 5-megapixel~ camera module is a standard equipment. Moreover, at both edges of Main Board, bc10 has slots for expansion board,~ so users can design own expansion board for needs. Thus, the applications of bc10 are very wide and flexible.~ > For the specifications of bc10, please visit [[bc10/Hardware]].~ > Before start working on bc10, please read the sections below, and register to the mailing list.~ * What is in the Box (Caution: this is for the owner of bc10) [#sedbdfda] > These 4 items are in the box. Please use or modify available commercial products.~ Users may make these cables.~ - bc10 can be currently booted form SD card. The microSD card drive is not used for booting by design. The information~ of booting from NAND Flash will be published new future.~ of booting from NAND Flash will be published the near future.~ * Register to Mailing List [#i1ec95d8] > Since all questions about bc10 are handled at its mailing list, “[[bc9-dev:http://groups.google.com/group/bc9-dev?hl=ja&pli=1]],” users are highly recommended to register to the mailing list.~ To share the technical information with other users, question-answer sessions are basically open to the public. As users submit questions,~ the engineers at BeatCraft respond to the questions. Since “bc9-dev” uses Google group, Google account is required. To join the mailing~ list, it requires the approval from the group owner.~ * How to Install OS [#wec79b89] > On bc10, OS is booted from the SD card. There are two ways to obtain a boot image of an OS. Follow the instructions described~ in BC::labs, download the source of the OS, and build it. Then place the files in SD card. The other way is to download a prebuild~ image of an OS, and place it to an SD card.~ On bc10, OS is booted from SD card. There are two ways to obtain a boot image of an OS.
